Anyone purchase this? I think it would be nice for when im going hunting late at night and stuff, just want to know what others think about it. Its in the h2 online store if you dont know what im talking about.
"The Night Driver infrared thermal imaging system enables drivers to see up to five times further than with headlights alone. Using a camera mounted to the front bumper "pod", the system projects for the driver a real-time video image onto a Heads-Up-Display console which is mounted to the top of the dash above the instrument cluster. Warm objects such as people, animals and automobiles are easily detected and displayed. And because it's unaffected by ambient light, Night Driver enables drivers to see beyond oncoming headlight glare."

There is at least one person on the forum that has the NightDriver system and he speaks very highly of it. I gave serious thought to installing it but in the end decided not to.

Raytheon makes the unit and they also make a unit that sits on top of your truck and can be rotated/tilted from an inside control. The NightDriver system has a fixed lens that only sees where the nose of your truck is pointing.

Also, for around the same money you can buy one of the best night vision monoculars on the market today. Strap it to your head like a soldier and drive like the Terminator. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I have a 3rd generation ITT military grade set of night vision headgear. In a moment of madness I drove about 12 miles in moonlight up in UT. No headlights on a deserted road. In short, it could not have kicked more A$$
