HM-
Would you be kind enough to list any of those four manufacturers. I have been unable to find one yet.

Today I talked to someone at Fabtech (Chino, CA) - they make a 6 inch lift. I said that many H2 owners want a 2 inch lift including myself. He said that the H2 is a bear to lift and doubts that it would be possible to make a 2 inch. Fabtech uses new lower crossmembers that require 6 inch lift to install. He claims that the Fabtech lift gives better stability and better ride than Rancho 4 inch that uses coils. Maybe someone more informed could comment.

I really think the only way you are going to get a 2" lift is by cranking the torsion bars and adding a rear coil spring spacer.

I wonder if Fabtech would donate a lift kit to one of the H2 owners here for a comprehensive test. Then that way we could get an honest opinion from an end user, be it good or bad. They must push it to the limits in all areas of 4wheeling and on some of the hardcore trails like Fordyce, Rubicon, JV, ect.....are you listinging Fabtech????

Hummer Man, if they are listing 2" lifts in the <1000 range, they are probably the same Torsion/Spacer lifts like the ones that they used to try and sell on eBay for $500.

On a different thread I suggested everyone who wants a 2" lift should e-mail Rancho and ask for one. If enought people e-mail then maybe they will make one. It will only take a minute to do. I sent my e-mail in. http://www.gorancho.com/mail/contactus.stm

Detonat, they are just the spacer lifts like you say - but what is wrong with those! A 2" lift is essentially for looks! There is no offroad advantage to speak of. Those spacer lifts cost about $39.00 to $79.00 to manufacture. Wholesale is in the $250 range.

I emailed Rancho last week from a prior discussion about this and suggestion to hit them with request. The more the better obviously but I got a reply back that simply stated we do not make a 2" lift. Hopefully they will change their minds with enough people asking.
In the meantime I am talking with a performance shop who really knows what they are talking about and we are going to see what it would take to make or modify a lift kit. If anyone does go with just the "torsion lift" or just trying to get it out of bigger shocks be careful when going off road because in doing this you are extending the reach of the half shaft and increase the chance for it to break.
