Brake Upgrade?

I want to put bigger tires and wheels on my H2 but I need to know if I really need to upgrade the brakes. I am thinking of going with the 20" or 22" wheels with all-terrain tires. I also need to know how much a brake upgrade would cost for the H2. Has anyone done this?
