I've been in Orlando for 6 months now and I do not recall seeing any self serve bay car washes. Lately I've been driving places I don't normally go to find one, and just can't locate one.

It's pretty hard to search online for one too since I only know the names of previous car washes and those were locally owned ones 1 or 2 location businesses.

Does anybody know where one is, prefferably a good one in sw orange.

If I recall correctly you are south of downtown aren't you? If so I don't know of any but will ask some friends that live down that way. I only know of two in town and they are north of downtown, both on 434.

Yeah, I'm south of downtown. I've been asking friends and they couldn't think of any either. They all use the auto car wash that I used to be able to use. Thanks for checking

I was down there w/ my old car..(was pretty protective of it, always took it to self wash in tallahassee)..and I went to some place like scrubbles or bubbles or something...it was actually pretty good - guys took extra time w/ my car -- pretty cheap too). Somewhere NW of downtown I think...

Was it a Shiners? There are several of them around and they have done a great job on my past vehicles.

I know for sure that there is on in Winter Park, on 17/92 just north of Lee Road. It is a coin (pressure washer) car wash. There are a couple more around town, but I just don't remember where the other ones are at. At least you can go there and spray off all the large mud/dirt then take it home or go somewhere for a good wash.

Forgot about that one.

Back when I was in high school we were stripping the paint off a car with airplane stripper (Nasty Sh!t). Well, we cover the car in it and then drop to a do it yourself car wash and wash all the paint right off. Saved a lot of time http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Now, wouldn't have done that if the water was not processed and cleaned right there.

Hmm...that's pretty far away too. I've seen a couple full service car washes, but I don't goto those. I'm too protective of my cars. :P

Do you remember the name of the pressure wash place north of lee rd? Maybe it's a local franchise type thing and I could search for it.

Thanks everyone.

Sorry, no, been close to 2 years since I drove by it. My GF works near there, I will see if she can find out for you.

Damn, all the way down in Kissimmee. You could probably get to one of the ones up here on 434 quicker. At least you found one though. I took my old SUV to the new one on 434 this past weekend and it was pretty good.

It's only about 8 miles away actually.

Really? Guess I thought that Kissimmee started a little further down the road than it does.
