Ouch! The Hummer site shows $185 and I believe that is an installed price if ordered with the truck?

Is that the new cap that says "Hummer" on it? The new one just came out I believe

They're starting to surface on the net. I'll have to dig through my history to find them. I have seen the "HUMMER" ones and ones without. Seen the Chrom gas cover with and without locking mechanism. I want the locking one!

Seriously I think that it is ridiculous that you cannot lock the standard gas cap. The H3 has pretty much every comfort-feature available... yet you cannot lock the gas cap? I was seriously shocked when I found out about that. I didn't even check for such a standard feature, since I considered it obvious for a car in that price range.

Having said that... is there a lockable gas cap available? Don't need a full door... I would be happy with just a simple lockable cap, to lock my tank against someone messing around with it.

I think they were trying for the look of the Hummer in general as far as the gas cap is concerned. In this day and age, with gas prices the way the are, the way people and their jealous rages unfold to hatred of other peoples property and people desperate to suck clean a gas tank so they can fill their own tank up I am surprised that there is not a locking feature as well.

I really need to get this locking cap and my splash guards fast! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I agree, I would prefer a cap that locks, rather than adding a door to the side of the body.
