It's called "How Screwed Am I?"
Here's how you play:
While putting my running boards back on tonight after attending a Hummer Happening this weekend, I felt a little tension on the top bolt on the passenger side closest to the front fender get a little tight about 3/4 of the way in. I stopped and looked and said "Uh oh." I started to back it out and 'snap.' I now have about 1/8 of inch sticking out for the top bolt.
Now I ask: How screwed am I?
Feel free to list your own screw ups (Hummer related :D ).

Just get a screw extractor and take it out, or tack weld another bolt to the top of that one, or grind a couple of flat sides on that bolt and take it out with a pair of vise grips! Where there's a will there's a way!

it just feels bad, its actually an easy fix. screw extractor mentioned above is available at every hardware, car part store and easy to use.:)

Okay, need a screw extractor. But it is the top bolt, which has about 4 inches between where the bolt broke off and the side panel.
Do they make really short extractors, and I'll obviously have to use a side angle drill?
Thanks in advance for the advice.

I would just drill it out, and tap it up one screw size...much easier!
