View Full Version : Plastic Trim Noise

I have a 2004 H2 with 22,000 miles. Seems the interior plastic door trim pieces rub and squeak. It helps if I put WD-40 or Armor-All on the black rubber trim. But the door trim still seems to squeak and it drives me nuts. No other sounds whatsoever so I hate to complain. We actually use our H2 to do some pretty rugged off roading and it does an outstanding job. So like I say I hate to cry about it. But if any of you fine folks have come across something that will help with this,I would sure appreciate it.
Thanks!

Use silicone spray where the plastic is touching plastic and making noise and use black electrical tape in between the door panel and paint. (The door panel wears through the painted surface and starts making noise)

I believe that regular silicone spray from the auto parts section at Wal-Mart will surfice. I use it on the door seals once a month to keep them from dry rotting.....Jamie
