Has anyone changed out the poor excuse for a horn on the H3? It sounds more like a mouse caught in the fan belt. What is out there that has a sound befitting the H3?

I installed a 12 volt airhorn for about $25.00 total.
Link below it was taken from a cheap camera the sound breaks up a little.
Not a train horn but for the price you cant beat it.

I bought an air compressor, 2.5 gallon tank and a set of train horns. I can fit the compressor under the hood with a custom mount but can't find the right spot for the air tank. I decided to buy the 1 gallon air tank and put the 2.5 on ebay. I haven't gotten around to fabricating the mount for the compressor or air tank... It's going to be the horns that are boing to be a bitch to mount... They are freakin' HUGE! I used my big shop compressor to try them out... They are very LOUD!
When I get the system installed I'll post pics.

Groundpounder, I had asked this question a couple of months ago. It seemed to me that most people here, of the ones who had wanted to change their horns, picked what fourfourto put into his. Or, a variation of what he picked. I agree with you .. the horn is too wimpy for a Hummer. I'll probably go with the type fourfour put into his. The other day I heard a GREAT horn. I ran to the window to see what type of vehicle it was ...OMG, it was a garbage truck!!! LOLOLOLOL. Great horn sound, though. LOL.

I have airhorns mounted behind the grill. The air tank (black) is mounted in the upper left engine compartment against the firewall. The only compliant is the vibration of the tank refilling.
Now when I use the horn.. if I tap lightly the factory horn will peep, then if I hit it hard the Airhorns bark.
