About a month ago I started getting "Service TPM" on my LCD I know that menas somethings up with the Tire Pressor monitor but has anyone had this issue? What is it normally? My hummer dealer is 3 hours away so I don't want to take it up there and get it serviced if it's something stupid

The sensors just need to be reset -- check your tire pressures, and if everything is fine, there shouldn't be too much to be worried about...but the next chance I got i'd get someone to reset the TPMs

Have you had a drop in temps? If so, remember ten degree drop equals one pound drop in pressure inside the tire. A 40 degree drop means a 4 pound drop in pressure, and if the tires are not inflated to proper PSI, the system will start signalling you.
Make sure the COLD tire pressure is set at 30 or 35 (depending on the tire), and see if that fixes the problem (I SAY COLD, don't drive on them and then check). If that does not solve the problem, you can try the reprogram, as Hummer Guy suggests, as explained in the owner's manual.

Well I have got a "low pressor warning before" but never a Service TPM the book just says hold the button in and it will go off until I restart my car and it returns. I guess I will add some air today to the tires...

Sometimes, and it is not that often, the system will react to multiple low sensor readings as being a problem. If all pressures are ok, do what Hummer Guy suggested. If that does not work, it is time to visit the dealer.

Interesting -- I figured it wasn't low tires because of the "Low Tire" reading -- I didn't know multiple low sensors could cause the "Service TPM"...good to know.

Not all the time, just some of the time, so it is worth checking tire pressures just to be sure (and to make sure the TP are set correctly). Might save a three hour trip to the dealer....might not.

Service TPM Message.

This has been an on going issue with my rig (Since Sept 2005) ... Do what the guys here suggest and if it doesn't work, keep a good record of your dealer visits.

As a temp fix: hit your trip button once to clear the error until you start the car again.

Have you rotated in your spare? That will also cause the message.

Good point....:fdance:

I'm reminded of that one about 10 times a day as I'm too lazy to reprogram mine. :D

We have had 40 degree temperature swings in less than 24 hours here recently. No TPM issues here - knock on wood. :clapping:

Which package do you have. With the adventure package mine says 35 psi for the tires and 45 psi for the spare. My TPM also will give a message at about 32 psi.
There is a TSB that may concern your vehicle. I can only get the title, maybe someone here can find the body.

My service TPM comes on everyday a few times. This is a result of putting on the new rims. I am taking it back to the dealer to have them fix it.
