Hi guys, I thought you might like some pictures of hummers in Iraq. I’m part of the 28th Infantry Division (Pennsylvania National Guard) and we got over here in December.

These are pictures of the LMTV I drove up from Kuwait (4 day trip, fun, fun, fun.) The only armor it had was a chunk of steel we replaced the side window with.

This is me with the .50 cal on my old Hummer. That’s not a hummer turret on it, bonus points for anyone who knows what vehicle we acquired it from.

This is my crew and I on our new hummer. I’m the vehicle commander, the guy on the hood is my gunner, and the kid on the roof is my driver. We’re running with an M240 in 7.62 NATO (.308 Win.) now. It’s so much more reliable than the ma deuce.

Here are some pictures of hummers in the mountains to our north.

Hope you like the pic’s, I’ll post more as I get them.

Ditto here--thanks for posting the great pics and keep us posted on how the Hummer works out for you. I heard they wear out a set of tires about every 4 weeks, but that probably depends on where you are. Stay safe!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure everyone here thinks of you guys busting your butt's every time we drive our Hummers.

Thanks Sarge
God go with You and all Our Serice Men and Women. Thanks to You all for Your Sacrifice. We owe a DEBT that We will never be able to repay. I just hope that when You come Home those that know You on a personal level will reward You to the best of thier ability for all of Us. If they do not I ask God to bring it to the attention of those close to You and if they do not reply He takes what they have and gives it to You. The same Prayer goes for every Military person who returns and are not rewarded by thier close neighbors and friends who have the opportunity to do something personal for each of You when they have the chance.

Ok, the LMTV is scary. Not a whole lot of protection.

The turret looks like the cuppola off a 113 but there is no front shield. Man, they should be chopping up the 113s any way and scavenging the better metal pieces.

Stay smart guys!

Thanks for all the support guys. Thanks for all the package offers but I must decline, I'm getting to many now. It's hard to lose weight when you get boxes full of cookies and pringles (pringles don't survive being mailed well http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.)

Paragon, yep that's a turret from a M113. i ordered a shield for it but it still hasn't come in. Just got a gunner's shield for my new hummer (only took a month http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif.)

I should have some really good pictures next week, I've got a 4 day pass and am going to Quatar, the Las Vegas of the Middle East.

Have a nice Easter,
