Could the DRL jumper that keeps them on when the headlamps are on cause the sensor on the dash to go out? This is what the dealer claims has happened and I want to know if anyone else has experienced this.

No Problems here. I have had mine jumped for about 4 1/2 months now.

Hey Adam:

Have had mine jumped now for 6 months, no problems except for more damage to the cheap DRL reflective surface.

BTW, I have found the perfect replacements for the DRL's: 04 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, or the 03 Lincoln Navigator. With minor cutting at the back of the air dam, I believe they will fit fine. They are nearly identical fixtures with the same new 9145, 45 watt bulb.

I have part #'s and dealer pricing in my area, if anyone wants, (e-mail me at Hum2@cox.net), and will soon buy them for my rig.

At that time, I will rewire as I don't want them on the current DRL set-up. I will switch them separately.

The dealer said it also damaged the Body Control Module. They've ordered my a new one, and set up my DRL's to run the way I want them to, without having the jumper.

Thanks again to Al Serra Hummer in Colorado Springs, CO!
