Please advise as to the fording depth of the H2...what the manual says may be different from your experiences. Thanks.

just be careful; the air intake (into the engine!)is in the right front wheel-well. Water fording depth is listed as 20"per the manufacturer. So be aware that the right front wheel-well is where your engine intake is. Oil gas air;;;; all natural engine stuff. But water doesn't belong here!! So you have to be mindful not only of the depth of the water, but any right front dip that puts you past the 20" mark is not just bad, but is really really bad!

good point... but the intake is more then 20" off the ground... that brings up an interesting side conversation... I have seen one snorkel pic out there... it was on a yellow h2... but it was chromed....anybody out there seen this...it wasnt for exhaust... just intake... una

snorkel or not, the wiring of the H2 is not made for emmersion from the factory. Certainly if you spend the time and money to have all electrical sealed after-market, and install a snorkel, then you could compete in deeper water. Otherwise, even with a snorkel, you'd short out and be S.O.L in deep water. The factor posts fording at 20". Naturally, if you have a lift and/or larger tires you increase the hight of the engine intake vent perspectively with the amount of hight you have.

Not to mention the vent tubes for the transmission, transfer case, etc.
