First off. I was doubting to go with anything larger then a 17" rim. I do a lot of offroading from california to Ohio. With that being said, I found a stock tire/rim combo that wouldn't kill my fun of using the h2 with what its best at. Let me know what you guys think...
P.S. If your running some low pro street tire, I really don't care about your comment (as that speaks enough for you) Thanks.
Sincerely,
MD http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That looks bad ass! What size and kind of rim and tire s are those? Any lift? Any rubbing? That is the look I am trying to attain on my black 05. Trying to decide whether to powdercoat stock or go with new rims but that looks great.

Thanks for the kind words. It took me awhile to find a setup that I was comfortable buying.
For the bling guys... These are in fact only 20" rims. The tires are Mud Grapplers, which come in a 35/12.5 which is perfect for the h2 from what I have found. From my experience, the tire relative size to the rim makes the difference. This is going to be the largest size of tire before rubbing. 37" will rub during articulation. Hope this helps. Feel free to PM at the same name as on the forum.

Yes, I was an old timer with the socal section. Some great runs I had with them. Steve and Jason from memory are insane. I was relocated to Ohio, so I have been extremely busy. However, since my recent purchase of tires and hours of finding the correct size/offset, I had to post some photos up. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

We had a really crappy fall. Pretty much all the leaves came down in that snow we had not long ago. All the maples are bare, but the oaks are hanging on. They will just turn brown now and fall off...this fall was a major let down as far as leaves go. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

What I think is that with 20" wheels and 35" tires, you don't have too much room to bash people who run low-profile street tires. 17 or 18" wheels would be the max I'd run with 35" tires for a decent mix of off-road and on-road performance.
Remember, you asked. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Thanks for your perspective. I had a breakdown of the actual sidewall comparison, but my internet cut me off. So I'll just sum it up.
Extreme Offroading 18" is to large. My stockers are for that with the 37's. I wouldn't mind a smaller rim (16 or smaller) for extreme wheelin'.
Comparing a 22/24 wrapped with a low profile tire to that of a 20"/35" mudtire is just a tad different to say the least. Granted I have only run this setup once offroad, but besides the sidewall I have noticed nothing but improvement over a less agressive tire (stock). This was compared at the same trail with the stockers prior to these.
I compared and looked at virtually every setup on this board, to see what I felt was best. 37's rub unless you run the stock rim then its questionable. So, a 35" tire would be the only option. After comparing sidewall and how much you have after airdown, I noticed minimal difference to that of a stock one. I actually left the different rims on each side (stock and these). Again, personal perspective. Any extreme wheelin' I will be runing my stockers with the 37's. But again, anything other then extreme wheelin' I have nothing but praise for this setup to date. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Ok, ok, so are these KMC wheels? I've been considering the KMC black wheels for my black H2.

KMC Backseat B wheels - 20 x 9
Set up looks real good. Although realize before baggin on 22/24's that a 22" rim with 37's will give you the same sidewall, albeit with some minor rubbing.

Thanks for the kind words. 22/24's with 37's are great... However you will have virtually zero articulation. Nonetheless it looks wonderful. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That is true. For off road look - it works. But if your going to roll on anything more than a fire road/back road it will rub like a 16 year old boy, with a porno magazine.
