Hey again
A new H2 is out of range for me at the prices they ask for here. (aprox. 96000$) so I was looking on used H2's on the internet and strange "private" sellers offer low mileage H2's at unbelievable prices. They ask to send 30 to 50% in advance to a company that ships the car then to germany. I have no clue how to check if the car is stolen or even intact. I am wondering what you all think of that?

I would be a bit leery of that -- the advance payment -- although it may be completely legitimate!
As far as checking, try Carfax (http://www.carfax.com). You can input the VIN and see if the truck has a clear history... Good luck, whatever you decide!
If you get really desperate, my old H2 is for sale at Music City Motorsports (http://www.musiccitymotorsports.net)! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif But, it is "pewter" -- not silver, and has the wheat interior, not gray, as it is listed! Don't know WHY he can't get that right!

If it sounds too good to be true ... it probably is.

Murdoc:
Welcomen (I know, wrong spelling). In the past, we've seen low-priced cars that had been partially submerged in fresh water floods and had suffered other questionable life experiences. So please be careful.
$96,000 for an H2 is CRIMINAL from a tariff standpoint. I'm lucky enough to have the best of both of our worlds (a Porsche 928GT and an H2). I hope the H2s you are looking at work out so you can enjoy driving some big 'ol Hummer iron in those beautiful Bavarian Alps.
Best regards,
George SSSS

If they want half the payment up front ask them if you can use an escrow service.. if they won't go for that then it's probalby a scam

Murdoc, i would be very skeptical of this transaction. The only way i would do it is if the money was put in an escrow account in which the company represents ME not the seller. In addition title would be shipped with the vehicle.
I have experience with this. I inquired about an 03 for sale on http://www.autotrader.com with 9k miles and it was only like $19,000. The guy agreed to pay shipping if i just sent him a 30% payment to an escrow service. Well to make a long story short, the money was not going to an escrow account, but rather to his pocket(he made it look like it was goign to be escrowed with squaretrade, however square trade doesnt provide an escrow service.)
If it has anything to do with Western Union, IMO you should not do it. If you want further details just let me know.

No, quite the contrary -- the numbnut just doesn't know his Hummer colors! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif But, I am a bit partial to "olive drab" now -- AKA "desert sand"! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Don't do it. There are too many legit places to do business with. Why risk it?!

I don't know, I tend to agree with Mudinyeri. If it sounds too good....
The sixth photo down in your link is a used H2 for sale at Dougs Lynnwood Hummer (seattlehummer.com) for $53,888.00 us dollars. Dont know if that means anything or not?
