This really belongs in the Off Topic section, but it's so bizzare that I wanted to make sure everyone knew about it.

A couple of weeks ago we ordered a very custom jungle gym for the kids from a company in Oregon. It arrived a few days ago and we were shocked!!!

It's so large, it had to be shipped via over-the-road truck! But what's worse, is that is was covered in mud and road grime! Deeaaam, we're ticked off.:mad:

Oh, I forgot to mention the thing showed up with a chrome finish on it! WTF is that about? We didn't order it that way and I know we didn't pay for the chrome. Crazy Oregon people.

I knew I'd get some of you!!!

Rocks, CP and the kids went to the Oceanfront today and had a nice time. Pacific to Atlantic trip completed.:D

Now for the return trip.:eek: :eek:

COH, I've gotten a warning from the HOA, but after pleading my case, they're letting the truck stay for a few more days.:D

Sewie, the swing is awesome... but the jungle gym has to go.;)

I agree but we're lucky. Our choice to join our HO's is not mandatory. We don't live in an upscale neighborhood (houses here are 300-400K) but the neighborhood is immaculate. Guess we got lucky not having a bunch of ol' pricks who have nothing better to do than disapprove what type of grass we're growing. (my father went through it with his HOA in Florida.. had perfect grass, said it wasn't the correct type :rolleyes:

3 Killed On I-295 Crash Of Truck Into 2 Vehicles

RICHMOND, Va. -- A truck drifted off the shoulder of Interstate 295 early Monday, crashing into two vehicles and killing three people, including a brother and sister.
The trucker, identified by state police as Timothy Lee Taylor of Beulaville, N.C., escaped with minor injuries after his truck overturned and burst into flames. Police said he had been charged with reckless driving.
The crash occurred at 3:40 a.m. on the northbound shoulder of 295 just north of Richmond.
A car driven by Eric Paul Forbes 21, of McKenney broke down and he called his sister to help, Sgt. Kevin Barrick with the Virginia State Police said.
Gretchen Forbes O'Connor, 30, left her suburban Richmond home and went to her brother's aid, parking along the shoulder of the interstate, Barrick said.
The siblings and Forbes' passenger, Donovan Cori Hence, 22, of Glen Allen, were outside the vehicles when the truck operated by Taylor, 38, hit both vehicles and all three people. All three died instantly, Barrick said.
Taylor was hauling frozen turkey and ham.

I got caught in the traffic due to that accident this morning.

Drove past the small chunck of metal that used to be a car. OMFG!!!:eek: It sent chills down my spine!!! Worst accident I've ever seen!!!!

Almost stopped to pick up a frozen chunk of meat though!:D

She called when she got to it and didn't sound happy at all with what she was looking at. I can't believe even the truck driver lived.

The semi truck was on it's side burnt to a crisp, and the mangled chunk of metal was just kinda laying there like a crushed and crumpled old beer can. Road signs and guard rails were shredded like tooth picks, and oil and fuel stains were all over the road. By the time I passed up the accident~8am, EMS were all gone, just a bunch of flatbed trailers and tow trucks and tractors to try and clean up the mess.
Yikes...Scary accident!!!
