just hit 12.5 on the gauge yesterday. About 2200 mi on the rig. Seems to be going up every day. Hmmm. At this rate it will be as much as my old Honda Civic. 32mpg baby! ;)
Oh wait theres still the 3.5 tons and lack of aero dynamics to deal with still.
Oh well!
35 MPG but I have a rear spoiler. You should have gotten the SUT. We get 35.5 mpg.
BTW, I can't believe this has never been brought up before.

Now I get 25.5 MPG but that's a direct result of the TORNADOS!
I installed 1 TORNADO and MPG went up then I figured if I installed a 2nd TORNADO I could create a Supreme VORTEX of spinning air and my calculations were correct. I now get better MPG than a Honda Civic! :D

I consistantly get 13.1 MPG.
This is hand calculated at every fillup. When I do alot of highway driving I get can get upwards of 14.5 MPG, but I usually keep my foot out of it for the most part.
I think I need to get some Hybrid badges and a Tornado or two.

The altitude and the wind make a HUDGE difference. Seems like what will get 15-16 on long island, NY will get 11-12 in colorado.
FYI:
On long island, NY (Sea level) I have gotten my ford expedition (4.6L) to 19.8 on the highway with the mirrors folded in, the tires over inflated by 10lbs, and the roof rack bars removed. You wouldnt beleave how much of a difference folding those dam big ass mirrors in makes! Safety note, only do this on a deserted highway (As i did one late night in NJ).
I need a second car. I might have to pick up a jetta diesel, drove on the other day....nice power. My buddy gets 45 real world mpg driving normally!!! Towing a 2 place snowmobile trailer with 2 snowmobiles on it in the hills of upstate NY he still gets 35mpg!!! AMAZING. Gay I know, but dont worry my H2 aint going anywhere (At least until i can get a duramax h2)!
MPG is so up to the manufacturer. The euro diesel jetta has a bigger motor, more power and it gets 81mpg. I guess its all a matter of how much time the manufacturer will invest in getting the car/truck efficent.

filtering out offroad miles, the average for my truck since 2000 miles is about 14.7, overall average is 13.5, my last tank was 15.1, but when i filled i put in more gas than the computer reported the truck had used.
So, either my computer is a bit optimistic, or there was just variance between stations (when the pump shuts off, angle, something)
