A small piece of black duct tape works great and it can be removed later.

There are a couple more too, so no you are not the only one who is anoyed. For some reason it doesn't seem to bother me though

When I got my windows tinted I took a small piece(dime size) of window tint and put it over the offending blue light of retina damage. Very easy fix. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I was about to ask this same question! This was on my first list of issues to be fixed. Dealer wouldn't touch it--said to put tape over it. Why do all the other vehicles just have an outline of the light? Why did they have to make the whole thing light up instead of just an outline? Someone must think people who drive H2's only come out in the daylight.

It is that bright to remind you that it is on

Yep, this has been addressed before. But it kinda sucks to have an expensive cool looking rig like the H2 with a piece of tape over the bright light indicator and a piece of sticky-back felt on the dash where the keys bang. hehe!

GM did this on purpose to make sure you were driving with both your hands at 10 and 2. Seriously though, if you adjust the tilt on the steering wheel just right you can block the light.

Or you can make it less noticable by turning the interior dimmer all the way up to the brightest setting.

I thought I was the only anal one that was bothered by the banging on the keys on the dash!!!
I have placed a thick piece of vinyl tape that we used for exhaust blocking!!!
I doesn't completely quite the noise, but it makes it bearable!!
