I think it looks awesome! It's definately pretty far removed from the Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade interiors. AND THEY KEPT THE AIRPLANE THROTTLE LEVER!!! :D

Oh, look at the door and at the bottom of the photo, it looks like it's going to be a two-tone interior as well. I guess more of the Morocco! I like that color combination.

You can see some of the styling from the H1.

Two tone interior
Top of the dash looks close to the h1
Little vents in the top part of the dash from the H1.

I need more pics NOW!

I'd really love to see the H2 redesign to look more slab-like like the H1. More ground clearance and less overall height.

I still love the original H2 concept sketches.

Yeah, I was just thinking about that looking at the photos again. Very cool!

I think the interior, coupled with the powertrain/drivetrain improvments, will really make the H2 almost perfect. Now it just needs a locking front differential.

I really hope the next generation H2 evolves towards the H1's body shape.

I agree. With the H1 gone, the H2 styling is ... well H2-like, and there's nothing to compare it against.... I dont' know. I think one of the Hummers needs to look like the H1. Maybe in 2014 or whenever a total redesign comes around.

I like the H1 styling, though I have a lot of friends who really like the H2design, and dislike the design of the H3 and H1....

Now that I keep looking at the picture (which someone pointed out elsewhere says "GM CONFIDENTIAL" in the bottom left :D) any ideas/thoughts on the following:

1. Directly to the left of the nav screen, is that circular item a 4X4 selector?
2. Are the buttons below that our familiar TC2, Tow/Haul, and Air suspension?
3. What is to the left of the drivers right side air vent? (Shift selection indicator?)
4. Left of the steering wheel on the dash, is that an SUT window control?

Looking more, I don't like the corporate steering wheel much....

Looks like the same NAV system as my 07 tahoe. Alot better IMO, you can actually leave your nav disk in at all times and still listen to CD's. It also has an IPOD input jack.

Also the round knob to the left of the nav system is probably the 4wd selector, thats what it looks like in my tahoe, only its to the left of the steering wheel in the tahoe

Other than the steering wheel (nice but i think GM is over-using it), I don't think they look anything alike.

I've decided not to trade our '04 for a new model because the differences are not material enough for me. I wonder when the exterior will go through a metamorphosis? I just hope they keep with the "Hummer" lineage.

Can anyone else count the selector detents next to the shift handle? Looks like there is one or two more than we currently have? New Tranny? I wonder which one they will use? Will it be the same 6 speed as the Escalade? Will it still be full time 4wd?

Yes, same 6 speed auto-tranny and 6.2L 403hp V8 found in the 2007 Cadillac trucks. The new shifter selections say "P R N D M 2 1" No more detents than before, but I have no idea what "M" is supposed to do?? Still full time 4wd too.

The rest of the dash components are obviously lifted from the 2007 full-size Chevy/GMC trucks, including knobs, switches, and radios. I think it looks pretty much like a full-size 2007 Chevy/GMC interior mixed with some H3 ideas.

I like it. But, hopefully they will bring the black trim parts back. H2 Alpha?? Where the he!! is it? I dont like the fact that If I trade up in a couple of years, it will have to be blinged! F-that. Also I hope the add some new headlights, and slight bumper/marker light mods, etc. They need to do something to the SUT back area to make it more functional also.

"M" is interesting. That suggests a manual shift mode.... This is something they were apparently working on for the 2007 H1 (which, of course, never saw production). I suppose it would be helpful in climbing hills with a load, and maybe keeping the tranny in 1 for off-road adventures.

No, I don't really care for the new interior. The H2 and H3 should both be rugged w/ some lux. They should never get to a point where it looks more like a Caddy then a Hummer.

Its okay... at least the materials used look softer to the touch, not like the cheap plastic dash days of GM. Oh, and maybe they got rid of all the squeeks too....

I don't like the dash. I think it looks like the interior of an escalade/tahoe/denali. The dash makes the H2 what it is.

Yes it is the 4WD selector switch.

As for M, I didn't check, but I know what it means on other vehicles.:jump: (Paddle shifter maybe?)

The clock is a Timex. What else would we expect on a Hummer (takes a licking )

I like the old interior. I just do not like all the old plastic look. I would like to see the original style dash but, with more leather or what ever with padding. Just something besides plastic. I'm going to let a local national show champion upholstery guy cover door panels and any dash covering he feels will work good with the present style dash.

I just do not like the new look. It would be real sweet to have the engine tranny setup especially if it had a manual tranny mode with shift padles.

Man really sick the last couple of weeks. I hope my spelling is better than it looks to me while I'm writing. It does not matter though Hummer owners are the smartest and sharpest in the world. So I expect all to be able to translate what I'm writing.

Thanks and DRTY I expect for You to will it over Your subjects that my spelling is Ok.

I personally don't care for the interior layout as it appears in that picture at all. Would much prefer they stick with the original H2 interior, and simply upgrade it with improved finishes like stainless / carbon fiber / leather. Like others have stated, the original H2 interior is "original" and helps define the H2, and distinguishes it from all the other SUV's / trucks out there.

Personally for the H2 I like the old interior. That new set up suits the red of the GM line up fine but the h2 really needs to stay unique!

I agree. I think some simple material upgrades would suffice. However I'm sure it'll look good when its done. I hope...:p
