Negatory. I have a 2005, 72,000 miles, and havent' experienced this. Check your wheel weights to make sure you didn't kick one. Also, your alignment could be off. It could be in the power steering.

Where do you live ,is it really cold, I notice mine is stiff when its outside at near 0 degrees but it soon dissapears. Start workin out I guess . The Rebel

Check your power steering fluid levels, make sure they are topped off. Buy a Fabtech steering stabalizer, it will run you about $60-$80.00 and you can do the install yourself in about 30 mins. You'll notice a more stable and responsive steering which will be less prone to wandering when travelling on rutted roads.

Does it have anything to do with sub zero temps in Canada? Have you checked the power steering fluid level?

No, I just drive quite a lot. It's up over 73,000 since this post. :D

I've been having a steering issue also. When I'm at a dead stop and I need to turn the steering wheel all the way in either direction it seems like the wheels are much harder to turn then they ever were before. I have 37 in grapplers and I thought that wheel and tire size could be a contributing factor but they've been on my truck for almost a year and the problems just began. Any suggestions?:grouphug:

Digging up an old thread (At least that meens I'm searching) :D I just bought an 03 H2 and I have the same problem. It is hard to steer at low speeds. Any ideas?

i can tell you what worked on my 04 i picked up..

Pump out all the fluid and put in some good valvoline synthetic powersteering fluid.

Eliminated the hard steering at startup/extreme cold ouside

I read something somewhere about hard streering in very cold weather and using a
hybrid or full sythethic fluid in the power steering pump. And it seemed to work
wonders for their problems. We have 68000 miles on our 03 and it still looks new.
It fools everyone into thinking it is brand new but since it is not I guess we are not
to get it a little dirty now and then ~Richard:iagree:
