In case anyone is interested I just installed the Adventure Accessories tire carrier and it is really nice. The kit bolted right on, the instructions were easy and it locks up like the door on a Mercedes. No rattles! Seriously, if you are thinking of getting a carrier check this one out. I think it blows away the SMA one.

LNP,

How about a photo or website?

I believe this is the carrier he is referring to.

It would be great if this was as good or better than the other options out there as it is significantly less expensive ($650).

I'm seriously considering this option in the future if there is enough room in my garage. I'm curious to know if you find any locks for both the cover and carrier...to lock the tire to the carrier and perhaps the carrier to the bumper.
