I recently installed a video interface, and being an idiot didn't remove the fuse. About a week later the left side speakers started crackling and not playing at full volume and now its at the point where i have to set the stereo to play only through the right side in fear of damaging the left side speakers. This problem is only apparent when playing XM Radio and CD, for FM and AM it works fine. My guess is I messed up the amp somehow. Any Ideas on what exactly happened and how I can fix it.

PS: I am over the miles for my warranty, and have done much of my own wiring in my leased vehicle and therefore would like to avoid taking it to the dealership.

Thank You

thats A interesting problem... the amp also powers the speakers when you have on the radio on. so i dont think its that... is it a factory stero system? what exactly did you install . when you started having the problem.?

I installed a video interface. its a little box that hooks up to the back of the navi and gives me an rca video-in. also i had to replace the ribbon cable inside the navi. the speaker started acting up about 2-3 days after installation.

I would take it back out and douuble check all of the connections. Not sure why the radio isn't affected, maybe the quality of the signal, being analog. Sounds like a loose wire. Check all of your splices, also that connectors are fully seated.
