actually ended up upside down on the roof, but i can not get the pic to cooperate. believe she was turning left about 30 mph or so and was struck in the front wheel by a drunk going faster...her father immediately put her in another H2....

wow! scary stuff. I watched my girlfriend rolled her brothers 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I saw the entire thing from my rear view mirror. The jeep lost traction as she was going through a patch of road that was totaly drenched from the town sprinklers, there was about an inch of standing water. She hit a curb and ran up on some grass, she then got the jeep back onto the pavement but the rims dug into the pavement and caused her to roll. We have some pretty cool pictures. Luckly she was absolutely fine, but it was a horrible experience for both of us (her brother got put into a newer car so he was actually happy. I'll get my girlfriend to give me the picstures tonight and I'll get them up. It was insane though, the forces envloved ripped her shoes right off her feet hahaha we never found one of them, or the keys. The first guy that showed up was an off duty fireman and said that if she wasnt wearing her seatbelt she would have been dead for sure. Ive never seen pics of a rolled hummer scary stuff!

WOW! That is IMPRESSIVE! Glad everyone involved is ok!! From what we've seen on here, the H2's withstand accidents very well for the most part.

It was probably all the bling. The poor truck was trying to commit suicide.

Just FYI, the passenger compartment didn't hold up all that well. When the roof is lower than the drivers seat headrest, bad things happen. I take it the driver was pretty short?

After being in the Fire Dept I insisted on fabricating a roll cage for any vehicle I owned. Nothing too crazy, just a simple cage. Usually took me a few days, but from what I had seen in many many many accidents we had responded to was a roll cage would have saved the people from injurys and death. Didnt get around to doing a H2 cage yet, but I might pass on this one since, from the pics I have seen, the H2 seems very strong on side impact and roof impacts (rolls).

In the fire dept, the most injurys I saw was due to a passanger being crushed by the steering collum/ dash or driver door. It doesnt take too much of a cage to reinforce these area's and with a little planing it doesnt even get in your way.

If I buy a car in addition to my H2 there will DEFINATLY be a cage going into it.

All I can say is "all those Idiots that say that H2s are re-bodied Tahoes haven't seen these pictures". After my accident and seeing other accidents involving H2s, there is no way that a Tahoe would withstand the impacts that these babies can take. I have never heard of a rollover involving a Tahoe or suburban that the passenger only received a scratch...... I guess size does matter! :jump:

Shame about the mirrors. I would have been interested in getting a working pair on the cheap. ;) Let's see though I still need a clean passenger side rear tirewell trim piece. . ..... ok chances are that's in worse shape than mine too. Hows the rear? I need a new rear door latch assembly. Is it still intact? Glad everyone was ok.
