I am going to take a chance and get in line for an early production model of the H3....I lived on this forum with you all when you first got your H2s and went through the problem lists.... You have a wealth of info that may or may not transfer to the H3 but I for one feel that your being nice to us new baby hummer owners will be appreciated.
Am very curious what you all think about the H3 at this point with the limited info available...

Take heed from the early H2 posts; never buy a first year GM product, you'll live to regret it. Many problems to work out, get an H2 instead as they have had three years to rid themselves of the early problems. I assume with a smaller base price and higher volume sales of the H3 the bugs may get worked out faster on the H3 product though. Higher demand for a new model will also result in overpricing by dealers.
Just my 02 cents.
Hey pilot, I live just down the road from you. I look forward to the H3's being a part of this community. I also wish there were more H1 owners around.

TO ANY POTENTIAL H3 BUYERS, I'M SURE THERE WILL BE BUGS TO WORK OUT. BUT I DO KNOW THAT GM IS MAKING A STRONG EFFORT TO WORK THEM OUT NOW SO THEY DON'T HAVE AS MANY BUGS AS THE H2 INITIALLY DID. THAT'S WHY PRODUCTION HAD BEEN PUSHED BACK A COUPLE OF TIMES.
Hey Seth:
Maybe even happier if you have them "off the road"
Hey Phil:
"...as well made as anything else GM sells." Ain't that the truth I'm taking the H2 back in again for the 5th-6th time with the door moldings falling off. I have had so many minor quality issues you'd think I owned an H1. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif But, I still love driving it, and won't give it up.

Well Hummertech,
The reason the pull back production several times was due to the problems they had with the Colorado, but they got the colorado problems fixed up, However they had to Re-balance the whole line because they forgot about the H3 coming their way, and they had used all of the footprints fixing the colorado problems.

My '03 H2 has had -0- problems except the cd changer & I plan to buy my wife an H3 as soon as they're available, 1st year or not. Some if not many of the problems mentioned in the past are OEM (operator error mentality) problems. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

ACTUALLY, THE MAIN REASON PRODUCTION WAS PUSHED BACK, WAS TO TAKE CARE OF A PROBLEM WITH 10% OF THEM HAVING DIMPLES IN THE SHEET METAL. HUMMER DECIDED THEY WOULD RATHER FIX THE PROBLEM NOW, INSTEAD OF HAVING IT FIXED UNDER WARRANTY BY THE DEALERS, AND GET A REPUTATION OF A POORLY BUILT VEHICLE. THE H2 WAS RUSHED INTO PRODUCTION MORE. THAT IS THE MAIN REASON PRODUCTION WAS PUSHED BACK.
Funpilot, I sure as heck thought I responded to this thread last night. I need another beer...
Anyway, Suffolk.
Moving back to VA Beach within a year, though. The wife and I both grew up there and miss it. This place stinks.
I stopped by Hall today. They are taking H3 deposits and their first 12 are spoken for. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Ken, how has Hall been as a dealer?
They have been fantastic. I've even praised them on this site several times. Everyone of them has treated me well. For service I always use Phil. I met him when he was in parts then he got promoted to Service Writer. He is fantastic and really seems to care when it comes to fixing your truck.
If you go there speak to Chris or Chuck. They're great guys and will take care of you in every way they can.

Hmm...considering that there are only 10,000 H1's in existence on the Civilian market (worldwide), and that there are nearly 70,000 H2's on the road in the US alone, you're lucky to find as many H1 owners as there are on Elcova and other forums already.
