so i just bought my first Hummer today, 2003 black, with almost 33k miles on it, in great condition...needs a few things but hey for 17k dollars can i really complain?

i look forward to seeing more custom hummers on here, and getting tons of advice....it didnt come with an owners manual so i know i'll be on here for the first couple weeks ALOT.
anyways, just wanted to introduce myself and say hello!
thanks

33,000 Miles on a 2003 Hummer???? Wow, someone must have purchased it and just kept it in a garage. I have a 2007 Hummer H2 and it already has 29,000 miles on it. I have a 2008 Hummer H2 and it just turned 9,000 miles tonight.

I could not imagine buying one and not driving it........they are SO MUCH FUN to drive, it would be torture to just let it sit and not drive it.

well the story is this, the previous owner went blind about a year and a half ago, so the truck just sat in his garage....he recently died :(
his brother aquired the truck, as his executor or trust...and sold it to pay off his outstanding debts. SOLD IT TO ME!! hahahaha
mechanically i'd give it a 9.5/10, drives great, no rattles...

cosmetically, it has a crack in the windshield and some door dings on the passenger side, it appears the former owner was a black and mild smoker and the interior needs a deep cleaning...also some interior trim peices have more wear and tear then what i would expect to see on a 33k mile vehicle...i think the guy just picked at em...he was OLD, and the leather is in great condition, very minimal wear, as a 33k mile vehicle should have. i plan on getting the denali style trim anyway so it doesnt bother me.

right now i'm trying to decide if i wanna black it out, and put some rockstars on it...maybe on 34's or 35's ( i still want it to fit in my garage, might have to take the roof racks off) lol or if i want to put some chrome wheels on instead, either way....its not going to happen soon lol need more money first.

i was also thinking about purchasing an extended warranty through a 3rd party company.... Agape auto warranties, i've read over there contract and it seems pretty good, they have an A rating through BBB and so does their under writer, the warranty is 3 yrs/45k miles for $1750.
i did research extended warranties on this forum, and it seems like there are mixed reviews...with more leaning towards staying away from them. i haven't seen anything about this company though and was wondering if anyone knows about them.

Thanks again everyone...in advance

Another NOOB Here --- My wife and I recently purchased an 03' H2 with 35K on it.... we got it for $19k and it's in great shape. Original owner, non-smoker -- he only used it for vacation trips....

Just installed a Kenwood DNX8120 with Navi, backup camera, SIRIUS, etc... So now the wife is riding in style -- on and the tags "4THEK9S" -- we got dogs....

I would stay away from extended warrenties. They are a scam! (unless you go with a GM certified extended warrenty.)
