Off, but be carefull of the cops in your area. Some places will ticket you for no covers. Here in CO, not an issue.

I know this is an old thread, but I have a question. This afternoon I was just pulled over for not having my lights covered on my lightbar (my lights only have the black plastic horizontal "grill" on them). I saw this thread regarding the solid black covers and I am wondering where I can purchase these. Does anyone have an idea? He wrote me a warning and if I don't solve the problem in 5 days, he will turn it into an official ticket.

Thanks everyone!

mbdougl, thank you so much for the part number. When the officer pulled me over, I actually asked him if he would let me go if I reached up and unplugged the light bar. He said no. So I will use the part number you gave me and get the covers so that he is satisfied. :)

You mean these arent on a switch?

I guess, something like this (just like fogs and other lights) I would like to have a switch to control turning them on and off

btw, does anyone know where to get or the name of the light bar that is sold with the thin lights in it?
basically it is a stock bar with driving lights so thin they are the same height as the bar, so it look very flush

There is a switch for them inside the vehicle (on the overhead console where the map lights are), but police usualy want something more permanent such as light covers, so I asked him if I could unplug them out on the roof. He said no.

I have seen the thin, low profile light bar you are talking about, but I don't know the name of it or who manufactures it.
