Sadly my lease is going to be up soon on my H2 and GMAC wont budge on the price to purchase it.

Anyways... After I leased the rig I talked my sales guy into tossing in the Tonneau cover. I dont want to "give" it to GMAC and am planning on taking it off. I see they are still around $1000.00 bucks and mine is in great shape.

Since I didnt put it on... My question to folks is, What needs to come off to sell it to someone else and what parts would I need to make the car "whole" so i dont get hit with any missing parts when I turn it in.

Hi Mark,

Just went through the same process less than a month ago with GMAC. They will extend your lease for 3 months. The 1st one is easy, just ask. The 2nd and third require you to order a new GM vehicle. I gave the dealer $1K and he put my name on one of his stock orders. Let me know if you want more info.

If nothing else, it gave me time to locate a new one and negotiate the price.

If you want to get yours back after trade-in, I can help you with that too. Mine had a $36K residule. Looks like it will bring $20K to $22K on smart auction.
