Don't have much to say about the rattling since I have an h3 as for the noise that's a hummer for ya I've been in several h2's and many h3's and around that speed a lot of wind noise just occurs because the car is not aerodynamic at all.you may want to check your sunroof see if anything became slightly unmounted that may add to a bit more wind noise. Best of luck!

you'll never get rid of that windnoise. its a hummer man. especially if you are driving into the wind then it will get so loud sounds like your hitting things

I had an 05 and the wind noise was terrible when I got above 60mph. There are a few threads on this and I believe there is a TSB on it for 05 and prior. The side moldings aren't very secure and the wind gets under them. The dealer I believe will remove them and seal them properly. Some guys on here used double face tape and others rtv silicone. My 06 H2 doesnt have that wind noise and doesnt vibrate one bit. Try a search for info.

There's a couple of threads that recommend removing the wind visor.

Look around the whole interior trim of each door, where the plastic meets the metal frame. If you see any signs of wear between the two or looks like it fits too tight it could be one cause of your rattling problem. Try using the soft, loop, side of some stick on velcro. Also try putting some weather stripping along the bottom edge of your rear hatch. Really helped on my 2003.:D

How and where do I put the velcro around the doors?

Also, what type of weather stripping name and brand and where do I exactly put it on the bottome half of rear hatch? And I actually put it on the hatch not the bottom landing?

Also have some rattiling in dash area can I do the same with the velcro?

Thanks for the help.

Just pull the plastic away from the metal, mainly at each corner, and slide the velcro inbetween sticky side down.

Any kind of foam weather stripping will work. Place it along the bottom edge of the liftgate door. Be careful if you tighten the dash bolts the plastic can crack fairly easily.

When you say weather foam striping I am getting confused is it for a car that you pick up at auto stores or home weather striping that you by at home depot?

And does it come in a can or adhesive strips?

And if I walk into the store do I ask for weather foam striping?

Sorry about all the confusion just want to get it right.

Thanks for the help.

Yes, just the stuff Home Depot sells that comes in a roll with foam on one side and adhesive on the back. Just ask for home door / window weather stripping they'll know what you're talking about.

Thanks for the info and removed the wind visor and it cut down a lot on the noise.

I just bought an 05 with 53K miles. When I was looking at them and test driving them I noticed that there is a lot of plastic squeking. I just considered part of the charm. I also have the sunroof visor, should I remove it? I thought it was supposed to cut down on noise.

I did this the other day. It took all of 15 minutes (both sides) start to finish and fixed the rattle!
