Two sources are now saying Tengzhong is getting ready to produce a Hummer variant the H4 CUV in China before the end of the year.

The article reads funny because it is a Google translation of a Chinese Internet story.
“Tengzhong will take over the Hummer sales network, and will be launched before 2012 Tengzhong H3 and H4 CUV,” the memo.

Be sure and thank Obama on his way out in 2012 for saving us from ourselves and any prosperity that we had left.

Sounds like if Kia had a Hummer knock-off. Although they are Korean.
China doesn't currently sell any cars in the US market. They just make all the parts. And take all the jobs. Thanks to our CEOs, board directors and politicians that send work away.

Once you get out of Bejing or one of the larger cities in China the roads are like that of a third world country. They still have thousands of miles of mud and gravel and a real need for an economical 4 X 4. There's no doubt the labor costs would be very low in any production of a Hummer in China, but I think it's a long shot.
