I am going with 22x12 Rockstars on my H2. Will be adding the Truxxx kit also. Can't decide between te Kumho MT or the Toyo MT. Would like for it to not be too loud on the road/highway and good traction in snow/rain. Anyone with experience with either tire? Thanks for your help.

THey're both really good tires, IMO the Kumho's look better and more aggresive but I've heard they are a little too soft on the walls and your rig will sway more side to side... while the Toyo's MT are a lot harder, quieter and great ratings in performance, I've had the Toyos before... only cons about them was their weight... Heavy azz tire...

My brother in law has the kumhos and he hates them he says they are loud and ride rough he also doesn't like the snow traction . I have the toyos and love them, they are quiet for mt's and have awesome all around traction.

I'm going on my 3rd set of TOYS's (If I get them again) make shore you Rotate the hell out of them! The more wear they get the louder they are!
I leaning towards the 37X12.50x18 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM2's this time.

Seeing that Toyo's 35x12.50x17 tire weighs like 85lbs or something seem awful high for just a 35. So my question would be if you had a 37" tire like a Pro Comp Xtreme MT(37x12.50x17) which is 2 inches taller but weighs the same as the 35 toyo mt, would you get the same in effect on steering, driving, ride with both?

I guess i am asking what would have more of an effect, weight or height of a tire on the trucks ride, acceleration, steering components etc?

Anyone have any thoughts on pro comp xtreme mt?

Toyos..Have them on my diesel, great tire, but very heavy. Big fan of Iroks as well, especially for Moab. I'll be purchasing Iroks for the Hummer. :beerchug:

Toyo's..... Yeah they are heavy. Its due to the super tuff/thick sidewall. I can tell you for a fact that I have NEVER had a flat with a toyo m/t. Before Toyo I had the BF Garbage Km1s. Everytime I went offroad I got a hole in side walls of those tires.

The Kumhos are JUNK. But they look cool.

Regarding weight of the Toyo's, mined shipped a few days ago, 93lbs per tire for the 37x13.5!

I have a set of 5 ATX Thug rims and Mudgrappler tires I probally selling they are 37x13.50x22 if you are interested. They do make so road noise but wear alot slower then the toyos.

I have Toyos and LOVE them, they look beefier too cause they have a rim protector bead which makes the sidewalls look more square to the rim (actually sticks out firther that the rim), which protects the rim and looks less bubbley. Another advantage too is they are non directional, so you can swap em left to right with mount and dis mount. My 2nd choice would be the Nitto Trail Grappler M/T.
