Hello everybody,

Took me many years, but I am blessed and the proud owner of a new (to me and my wife) '03 Sunset Orange Metallic H2 :jump: :jump:
My wife and I made a hasty 9 1/2 hour drive from Ms to Houston, Tx to pick up this new beast of ours---- did my research on Ebay and found this deal there and could not pass it up!!! Truck had only 19,5--k miles on it and in immaculate shape!!!
I am loving it so far, but have much to learn---- Just did my first oil change Saturday (switched to Mobil 1 full Synthetic) and am working on changing everything else over as well to syn fluids... Only issue I found was my passenger mirror would not fold in/out but I fixed that issue Sunday by removing the motor and cleaning up the little bit of rust that had it stuck...working like a champ now (thank you Lord !!!)

Anyway, that is a little about me and my start of my relationship with my "Goliath" (hope I'm not the only one who names their rides :giggling: )

So, hello and I look forward to making some new friends and hopefully sharing some knowledge as I go to help someone else out here too--- God Bless, Chris

Welcome!

...how long did that mirror repair take you? There's a really good step-by-step thread on here somewhere; and I keep meaning to do mine.

Hey guys, thanks for the greetings---looks like this is a great forum from what I can see...looking forward to learning a lot and making some friends too---

Dvl57, I got it from a Mercedes-Benz dealer there in Sugar Land.... They seemed like straight-forward good people to deal with... Best dealership I have dealt with...

Guruerror, took me around an hour- hour and a half from start to finish--- as you see in the posts, Easy Ed was the kind person who helped me out with the tutorial---excellent write-up that led me through perfectly.... I love to wrench on my own stuff if at all possible- that way I know it's done to my standards....

H2illBilly, thanks for the greeting--- look forward to talking with ya on here...

Easy Ed, good to see you on here too bud--- I really like what I see here so far

MightyEpp, saw a post of yours earlier and noticed that you were at CAFB... Worked for several years out there on the Raytheon and DynCorp contract...been with Eurocopter for almost 8 years now--- I live in Winona (about 1 hr west of Starkville down 82)--- hope you are doing well in your training--- you going fighter route or tanker?? Good luck either way bud--- I'm prior Navy myself... Hey, you still got that tire cover for the spare on the inside ??? Mine didn't come with one and I would like to maybe get one until I can get me an exterior carrier assy.... be safe out there, Chris

WOW, 19.5k on the mileage! That's the lowest mileage 2003 I've ever heard of for sale. Sounds and looks like you found an excellent H2. Enjoy!

Welcome! Seems like a real good deal you found! I would think twice about getting the exterior tire carrier... I've had both and decided inside is the way to go. It comes out easy enough if you need the space, but the exterior one you have to swing out of the way EVERY TIME you get in the trunk. I found it annoying. But that's just me...
