08 tire rack removal

I know how to remove the tire rack but on my the rear door does not have a light for the license plate. I was wondering what anyone did with their licensing plate after the tire rack removal.

Hi i did my 2008 i used the stock black bucket thats in the rear hatch and i installed a led licence plate light. I made a harness and tapped into the rear clearance lights. Here is a picture.

Looks good did you drill right through the plastic to mount the plate. Where did you get the light from and also where did you pick up power from to power the led light

Hi i removed the bucket and installed the plastic lic plate screw holders the little square ones that come on most trucks. I bought the led from a part supplier here that i deal with. The power is taken off the rear middle 3 clearance lights. Here is a night picture.

Hi thanks, make sure the led you get is norrow enough to fit.

I am having trouble finding one that is the right size to fit but hopefully I will find one.

Hi the led light I bought is made by peterson part #m388c. Hope this helps.

Where did you get your light bar and front lights from.

Hi i paided $20 each for the led lights and i bought 2 one as a spare. I made the front light bar and bought the hid lights off ebay. Here is a link to a place that sells the led plate light, its not where i bought mine.
