I have a factory chrome fuel door that I recently had powdercoated and now I have an odd issue with it...it won't stay shut. The door opens and closes fine but it won't stay closed...it's open like 1/2". I didn't see any way to 'adjust' the hinge and I didn't see anything odd when I got it back from the powdercoater so I was wondering if anyone had seen this issue before and, if so, what was the fix?

It's way too pretty to not close so hopefully someone knows a 'fix' outside of rubber bands or duct tape. :raar:

That sux ass!! I just sanded mine and rattle canned it. May have been a heating issue and warped the lid hinge maybe??

I thought that too so I checked and the door is completely square...it's almost as if the hinge just doesn't 'hold' the door closed. It doesn't open easily and there is the 'detent' when it is fully open but it just doesn't close like it should. It's killin' me!

Is the coating any thicker? maybe an obstruction near the hinge. Thats a weird one, post a few pics mayeb there is something we can see.
