Well the H2 is going into storage with my toy hauler (for the next year at least). it will spend 6 months in the desert (winter season) and the other 6 months in SoCal . I am debating on getting a cover for it to cover the truck and tires.

So I have a few questiions:

1) Which cover is good?
2) If you own one, do you really use it? (It seems to be a PIA to keep putting it on and off).
3) Is it really important to cover the tires while in storage? I have 37 inch Toyo tires, I was told it is best to cover your toy hauler tires while in storage but these TOYO's seem much beefier.

I will use the truck once a month when it is in the desert and wont be used at all when in Socal. By no means is the truck in mint condition. But I dont want the paint to go to crap either. I plan on keeping the H2 for ever but now unfortunately space is limited and $4.20 a gallon is beginning to annoy me!

Suggestions?

Since your H2 is going into storage as opposed to setting in your driveway where appearance would be a criteria, I would suggest going the route of whatever works for the lowest price. I would buy a big tarp from Harbor Freight with some bungees and call it, "problem solved."

I use a cover from http://www.covercraft.com/ on my Hummer that is out side in Germany "darn small garages in europe" I would not use a run of the mill tarp from a hardware store for long term storage, I did that once with mine and scratched the paint. only time I have a issue with the cover is if its a strong wind and I have to use more tie downs but five min on off unless the wind pickes up and the cover fills up with air picked my son right up off the ground one time :jump:
