sorry for so many random, all over the place posts. im looking to do some more mods to my hummer. im wanting to put some off road lights up front in the stock location under the grill. i do have the stock chrome brush guard. will these lights work? http://www.amazon.com/Hummer-Road-Lights-6000K-Xenon/dp/B003MZTR8G they look like a great deal and the HID color is the same as i have for my headlights. if these will work, what else will i need to install them? if they wont, do you have any suggestions for lights? thanks for all the help.

If you are going to install them on the OEM brush guard, get some light tabs so you can attach the lights. And all there is left is deciding where to put the switch. http://hummerpartsclub.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=H&Product_Code=ARIES_H35TABS&Category_Code=Aries_H3

The tabs on the above link will work. Or you can make/buy a bracket that goes between the square sections of your brush guard.

From what I've seen, most people mount them on the brush guard in front of the grill (blocking the 'H' and the 'R'). There's really not many other places on the front to mount them...especially given the direction that our hoods open. Hell, I had a hard time finding a spot for my license plate that didn't interfere with the hood when open.
That's a good price though...
Me, myself, I'm partial to the Predator lights (IMO, the only decent product that Predator made for Hummers)...they actually give a purpose to the otherwise useless 'bumps' on the cowl.

I love those predator lights! Do you have them wired as drl? Or switch on like fogs? I wanted a set but they only come in that wrinkle black so it may look wierd on my pewter, but if I add the e&g flares/brush gaurd I think it may look awesome!

I wired them like fog lights and without the relay, so they work completely independent of the headlights/high beams. I put a little toggle switch on the dash above the headlight controls on the flat spot to the right of the driver's side AC vent.
They'd be too high for DRLs, and you can't point them downward too much or they throw too much light on the hood. I lined the bottom of their spread up with the top of the highbeam spread to get three levels of illumination.
I had mine sprayed with Line-X to match the rest of the Line-Xed trim...I like them a lot.

Wow love it! I bet it makes a world of a difference in those hard to see areas at night! You're the first h2 ive seen with those lights and It really adds an aggressive look to your h2 also!
Oh yeah PS, we all still need to go out for a few drinks one night! I live in columbia Maryland

I don't have the chrome brush gueard but have the factory black one. I used the Warn mount with room for 2 or 4 lights.

Are the back of your lights (the housing) metal or plastic?

Pretty sure the backs on those PIAA's are powder coated metal, not plastic. I have checked them out a bunch of times.

Ok...so i got the mounting tabs in today from the link above.......their for thicker bars than what i have....so what do i do? Will these still work? Should i just put some type of high density foam in between the bar and the bracket to make it tighter? Help please.

I would get some rubber, like from a rubber mat, and cut it into strips that would line the inside of that round bracket. Nice thing too is that will help to keep them centered and not moving, on top of protecting your brushgard. Not sure how big those brackets are, so I would shoot for something around 1/8" - 1/4" thick rubber.

I was just thinking rubber would be perfect. Thanks.

got my lights in and put them on. they look great. ill post up pics tomorrow. they do stick out a bit further than expected but thats due to the ballast built in for the HID bulbs.

i have the same setup Gunnz has and its nice.
Previously I had what you have and I also had to use rubber due to the mounts being too big for the bar. Worked great....
