Is there a way to remove the center shift console on a 03 H2?
I need to take it out as much as possible to pull up the padding underneath and replace it
Thanks for any help

Just don't forget the fastener of the front side of the gear shift. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to take it off until I saw there was an allen wrench type screw in the front, hidden against the center console with the shift lever full forward in Park.

Thanks guys.
That will be my tomorrow project.
I need to order the mat and possibly the carpet since it smells wet still in my truck.
I need to pull up and out the carpet since I ripped the sponge that is known as the padding out.
I would have done that today but the time wasnt there after I worked on the Vette and then the biting gnats started getting to me since it was after 430p.
Ugh!
Anyways, The positive spin is I can do some wiring for my fire dept flashers and also pre-wire in an amp setup to give the stereo just a little bit more ooomph.
Thanks for the info!!

fyi, if you lose or break any of those clips from the above link, which no matter how hard I tried not to, I lost one very time,,, you can get them at you local GM dealer for like 89 cents each...

Thanks.
Yeah I am getting ready for the re-install this weekend.
The truck is dry, the carpet is clean, getting some new padding from the local carpet store and then I should have everything fine, plus I will have adding in a subwoofer
