Thats the only pic I've ever see that step on.

Looks to me like they just took a set and rebent the rear up.

I've seen them before. I 99% sure they were selling them on eBay a while back

Never seen it either, but it looks like the front is set back more. So along with a custom bend they'd of had to of relocate the mounts.

I agree , this must be a custom . Ebay doesnt have it' I looked everywhere online but nothing . Will be nice if a company took the design in production . I think they match much better to the H2 than the OEM

A few years ago, I also went through an extensive search for these. I found the original company that made them, I forget who (wasn't Valley), but I called and he said they have been discontinued for quite some time. I am pretty sure he said they were the only ones that made them.

I saw a bunch of different pics of them back then, I don't think they were just stock ones bent up in the back. I don't recall the exact cost, but they were fairly expensive too...

Thanks for the info . I stop searching cause they are either a discontinued model or custom made ... Im now looking for a quality one or anything that looks different .
Mine ( small ones ) are good for off road but not for wife/kids daily use

Lynch Hummer used to have a few on the wall in the service area by the parts door. Yes, they were on EBay a long time ago. They may have one or two of them at his Adventure Accessories warehouse now that Lynch moved a bunch of his stuff to the new place?? If they're available they'll know where to find them.

I just realized if I install a step like that I cant use the Rocker Protector which is a plus so I guess Im going for the standard ones ... any1 knows how much runs the OEM nerf bars ?

Check the forums here or Craigslist for a set of used, I mean pre-owned ones. They will be way more $ new... Same thing with the roof racks, they are like $500 cheaper used...

I found the OEM on ebay for $380 total which seems fair if they are the oem , seller has good feedback . I wish isnt another scam like many time you buy an oem and got a cheap aftermarket ..

Make sure when you do a ebay search you also punch in different terms like side bars, side steps, side tubes etc.. There's so many variations, and not everyone uses the word nerf... also try with the the word chrome too

OK after an exhaustive search I change my mind . OEM are chrome which not only are more expensive than Stainless but also more prone to chip and rust .. Stainless are less maintenance , scratches can be buffered and with some care I will be able to keep it as shinny as chrome .
Aries looks to be a good choice for the aftermarket bars . Also it will save me $100 bucks for the wheels . Not bad ...
Thanks every1

just an fyi, I have had a bunch of H2's and I have never had a chrome nerf bar rust or chip, they are pretty resilient...

on another note, I have also bought stuff from that ebay vendor (Jack Mikol) and all have been quality stuff...

Chrome will not chip or rust with the OEM but when you buying an aftermarket (not brand name ) on ebay for less than $200 ... I almost can assure they are made in china and quality is going to be a surprise ( surprise you if they are good)

I guess a SS brand name would tend to less surprise you ... The OEM are $160 more than the Aries SS ... Thanks for the seller info . I can see by his feedback he sells good stuff ...

BTW yes I hate all that comes from china , sometime there are not more options but I will buy/support only USA made if I can

I try to buy made in America stuff too, but it's getting harder and harder. I try to do the same with my business even if it means paying a little more. Some construction items just can't be found made in the US anymore - sad! +1, I've also bought H2 stuff from Jack and have been very satisfied.

I think we should open a thread for posting american made stuff for Hummer even in general ....I grew with the made in USA in my mind as the best quality products in the world but now it is just History ...

Cant believe this country isnt realizing how much is loosing .. But thats another forum anyway

Harry Moser is a colleague of mine (I'm in the NTMA (National Tooling & Machining Association)) and his new reshoring iniative is pretty neat and he is gaining some headway slowly but surely. His views on not only looking at price, but at total cost of ownership as well, are amazingly simple but so many people, companies, and governments still don't get it.

Yes they get it but while they are making easy money taking manufacture out of here nothing is going to change .
