Was this problem fixed in the later models? I have an 03 and just daily driving is loud becaes of all the squeking of the plastic parts rubbing against each other. Does anybody else have this annoyance. I mean at first glance everything looks nice but at closer looks, everything is made out of (what it seems to be cheap quality plastic).
Just curious if there is anything I can do to get rid of my squeaks.
PS
This is my only complaint on the H2. I love it dearly.

Turn up the Radio, it fixes any rattle or squeek! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I have 26,000 miles on my '03 and hardly notice any rattles. There may be one or two minor ones that catch my attention periodically -- but nothing consistently annoying.

Take it to the dealer, and it should be covered under warranty, mine was.

Clear silicone lubricate works wonders. Use on all rubber & plastic that squeaks/rattles/etc. My '03 is solid sounding but I have had to hunt down a couple annoyances. Hummer did this on purpose just to keep us busy. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The clear silicone works wonders on the f'ing doors. On occasion I like to drive with the radio off and the squeaks from the doors were making me autistic.
For the dash noises I used little pieces of adhesive felt where the plastic pieces made contact with each other.

Mondo - I have a 03 as well w/60,000 miles on it . I have a few rattles but they dont bother me. What upsets me a little is the headliner is falling down around the sunroof, the leather is coming unsewed off the door handles , the top of the door pad pops off everytime i shut the door, the paint is worn off all the radio knobs , the passenger side door hits the fender everytime its opened , and if you look at it, it gets a scratch or dent . Other than that i like it . It gets me in the woods to look at timberland and it jumps snowbanks in a single leap.

As for the clear silicone, how often do you end up having to use it? Also, do you use the spray or a liquid gel? I'm also curious about the dash -- between which sections seemed to quiet things down the most? I'd love to fix this problem once and for all...

When I first got my '03 I had major door squeeks. I took a piece of adhesive velcro, the soft fuzzy side, and slipped it between the plastic and the metal on the upper corner of each door closest to the dash. Hasn't made any noise since.

Sorry to hear Mondo. Our Pewter had 22K miles when we bought it and 33K when it sold. No rattles expect at the dome light which was fixed by the dealer. Our Yellow one has 17K on it and there is a rattle from the driver side window switch cluster. It stops if I just pu my hand on it. I'm having that fixed but surprisingly it's been a quiet car. You're right though, the plastic inside is rather cheap looking, especially compared to an Audi interior.
