It looks like an inlet air temp sensor. I can't tell where it's at by the pic. Is it in the air inlet tract?

I though it might be a sensor but the more I looked at it the more it looked like a little lightbulb. It's in the left A/C vent in the center/top of the dash.

Whatever it is, it needs a bath. And if the truck starts to shudder while cleaning, I'll then know it's the H spot. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif (BTW, the truck does has a hymen and I have the picture to prove it.)

Frank -- You are correct! Best sunglasses in the house. They spank the Ray Bans on the beach. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

HUMMER Tech says it's a temp sensor. You better put that truck back together before you find the "Black Box". http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Looking at it again, we're right. It's a light bulb. It's there so you can see to clean the dust off the light bulb. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

He was in the process of installing a CB antenna and had the dash center console out to run coax.

Ree is correct!

And why, my friend, was I installing a new CB antenna? Could it be because someone (I won't mention names) told me my el-cheapo magnetic base setup was crap? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Wasn't aware he's still around.

Anywho, the antenna and initial install was indeed crap. Fubar was about 100 yards behind me and we couldn't talk!

Rod, welcome to the world of "Practicle Jokes". He told us all about how he was messing with you about your CB. We made bets on how far you'd go to resolve the "problem". I think Alec wins the pool because of the amount of dash removal you've done.

Congrats!
