so when is it for sale or just a prototype and not for sale yet ?
That's just a stock H2 SUT with the Hi-tech slantback cover on it:

I think it's factory. It's at the dealership and posted on the local dealer site.
Looks like a factory slantback to me. Guess I don't know that for sure though. I'll get more info on Monday.

I really like it and the color too.
Now what it really needs are some
brush guards and wheels and steps.
Wonder if it will be made?

How much $$$ does the stealership want for the kit? The slantback I saw online was $6000 which I think is way overpriced!

That looks really good!
I'll get some details on it today.
I'm thinking you can't put the 3rd row seat in because it would be in the truck bed and it has the liner. I don't think you'd be able to put it in with the stock brackets so you'd have to modify it to get to the floor.

It's here! It looks good on that one. I wasnt impressed with the other pics I saw, but this one is cool.
$65,059. It is a 2008 loaded. No third row seat. That is still less than I paid for my '03 new.

You must have bought one of the first ones. My '03 was fully loaded and at the end of the model year cost less than $50. The new ones are much higher.

That's a nice looking add-on as long as the price isn't outrageous....

There was one on flea-bay for 6 grand or so.
It's nice. But not 6 grand worth of nice.

You can bet the dealer did not pay 6K for the topper. Manufacturer made some and left room for dealer to make all he wanted. It may have been sold at cost to dealer to get recognition up more. It is not uncommon at all for free product up front until demand is built.

It looks cool, but really if you want that extra room just get an H2SUV, I think it kills the look of the SUT. :twak:

There is no doubt the H2 is purchased by individuals who desire to customize their truck or make their truck stand out from others(and often times it makes them blend with the numerous chrome clad h2s). IMO this is a very nice customization and really makes the truck different. With the right price point and marketing this will sell.
