You'd need a crow bar and some serious intent to get into this.

Is that your H2?
The web site says and shows a black chrome finish. Yours looks flat black, is it flat black?
Is Hummmer Man correct about the $500 price?
If the door is $500, does anybody know of a simple (manual) lockable flat black door that is reasonably priced?
I think an electric gas door is overkill.

Yeah, it has always pissed off Hummerman that a "good quality" fuel dooor is on the market that makes the SMA look like the crap it is. I had the SMA on there and it scratched the paint...if you look close you can see it in the pic at about the 2:00 position. THe SMA screws onto the plastic "funnel" with machine screws and is about as secure as using duct tape. This is the door Hummer should have on "stock" in my opinion.
"You get what you pay for front end or back"
The finish is a satin black...not the black chrome. The Hummer in the pic is mine...and I did the install myslef...its not too hard.

Your fuel door looks great on an orange H2. My H2 is orange, also, with the adventure package. I just don't want to spend another $500 on a fuel door since I have already spent $240 on my chrome locking door. My door looks like new, no flaking, pitting, ect, but I doubt any one will want to buy it after the bad reviews this type of door has received on this forum.
Does anyone know if I could have the chrome taken off and then have it powder coated?

Hey...uhhhh...Hummerman??? Take a valium dude...and I can say anything I want...especially when it's the truth.
The Pro-Fit door has been long in the waiting and you have been "crapping" on it from the get-go.
Check your posts in the past. Comments like.."they won't give distributors names"..."It's never coming out"...etc etc....the whole time promoting your SMA crap.
Then it comes out and your best friends with these doors?? Come on you F'in fake!!
And I KNOW who I'm talking about....you're nothing but a board-whore-with-no-life-cause-you-got-stepped-on-in-the-past.
Craw the F back under your monkey dung and leave me alone....

What happened to all the religious rhetoric Hummer man? I recall several posts dripping with poorly regurgitated Biblical references but I guess thats out the "F ing window". Way to turn the other cheek.
By the way, who "are we talking about"? There really seems to be no concrete composition to you, only a counterfeit shell you struggle to construct with each new claim. Are you a/an ? -

Hummer Man, I am impressed. That is one rare long sentence you got there vs. your usual one-liners. I also like the emotional part of it, it is full of anger and resentment, I can sense some childhood bad memory in between your lines; I want you to know I feel your pain and we are here with/for you. Your use of F word is also examplary, it shows skill, style and experienced frequent F user. I also can see some drug use or liquor usage. This is all good, let it out.
I have been for a long time wondered what other names you appear under? I suspected thegoodhummerman for a while. It is not easy to track because you have always cleverly use one-liner only under the Hummer Man name, so I couldn't really compare and track.

Wow!!! This is great!!! Hummerman, thanks for the entertainment. I must concur with MAC on your usage of the F bombs. Might I suggest more robust color by using C-sucker, motherF-er, donkey-raping sh*t-eater and other imaginative expletives. I especially enjoy watching your bi-polaristic shifts. Religious spoutings to vulgarisms- what a combination!!!

I donot drink alcohol - I don't think I'm special in that regard - I just don't drink.
I am also one of the few and maybe the only middle aged person you might ever meet that has never done any illegal drugs, I never even smoked pot. So for the record I was pretty clear headed when I made my statement to the PATRIOT!
I actually removed some of what I wanted to say to the PATRIOT but did not feel that a statement like - "MAY 1000 rabid pitbulls chew on your Mothers cancer ridden corpse" was in keeping with the fun loving HUMMERMAN SPIRIT!
Plus I don't even know if the PATRIOT'S mom is dead yet!

The "Little Jester" rides out on his uni-cycle while juggling three balls.
Then, all of a sudden, a rotten tomatoe hits him....at first, he loses his composure and the crowd **gasps** for the "Little Jester" is no longer making the crowd laugh....he realizes his lapse in judgement and smiles as he, once again, mounts his unicycle and starts to juggle.
He ends his "Little Act" with a fake fall and then shoulder rolls up into a pose with arms out stretched...and then takes his bow.
The crowd roars and chants....

Actually NVR STUCK one is a Fake Shelby Mustang and the other one is not a car at all but a lowered and chopped 37 ford pickup!
I layed out almost $600.00 each when all was said and done and the quality was excellent. I have a close relationship with the management of PRO-FIT so it was almost like ironic that PATRIOT jumped all over me when I gave a price estimation to help a fellow user. He came off as discrediting my expertise on the subject.

Patriot, Thanks for pointing everyone to that thread ! If you read my five post on that thread all are factually correct. At the point at which I made my opening comment on that thread I had 64 users on a private thread that had given me their EMAIL addresses so that I could negotiate a group purchase on either or both FUEL DOORS. Long before the H2 came along I had a reletionship with both of these companies. At the time they were claiming the product was available it was not! In fact the first shipments did not begin until 32 days later on the H2 product.

To the members of the Elcova forum. This fuel door post (as well as others) has been brought to our attention by some of our valued customers. As busy as we are, we always strive to take care of our customers and keep up to date on "internet buzz" regarding our products.
To Hummer Man: We would like to help you substantiate your claims to the benefit of all members on this forum. We apologize in advance for not recognizing a past customer such as yourself. Neither I nor the owner of Pro-Fit recall ever having a business/personal relationship with an H2/Shelby/37 Ford Pickup owner in Florida. The fact that you have ordered not one, but two $600 (custom) fuel doors from us for your Shelby and 37 Ford Pickup made us quite curious, so we searched in our records for the past 3 years of custom fuel door orders, and we have no such order and/or email correspondence regarding your custom applications. As our customers are aware, any custom fuel door orders require photos of the stock fuel door area prior to manufacture. We do not have such photos in our records, and we keep all pictures of our custom vehicle applications for reference.
Hummer Man, we would love to get some pictures of your Shelby and 37 Ford Pickup for our Customer Car section. As you can see from our LATEST NEWS section on the website, we show off any custom applications that we have pictures for. Please send them to info@fueldoors.com and we can put them up for all to see and lay rest to this controversy.
Hummer Man, if you cannot produce these photos (in high-resolution), then I am afraid that there is nothing we can do to help you substantiate your claims. As I stated before, we back all our customers 100% and stand by our products.

Drew

Please check your records and contact me via my Email address that I am certain you have on file. I contacted you by email over 15 times during the 2nd quarter of this year. If your name is Drew Mandac we spoke by phone also. We discussed finishes that would be most popular for the H2 - We talked price points, access to market - custom versus / OTS DYS units. I have a picture of the 36 chopped Ford pickup that I will locate - It was taken in SHAQ's driveway at his home in ISLEWORTH. Please send me your personal email address and a release form for the photographer if you want to post it to your site.

Hummer Man,
Again, I apologize. I don't recall speaking to you (or anyone other than our owner) on the phone regarding the H2 fuel door. You may very well have emailed us. We literally receive hundreds of emails weekly, and my memory just can't store all that data.
As for the release form, if you are the owner of the vehicle, we only need your permission. We are not asking for copyrighted photos from a photographer. Merely take a nice pic on the fuel door side of your Shelby and 37 Ford. It would be much appreciated.
My personal email is drew@fueldoors.com. Please email me with the date you placed your order for the 2 custom fuel doors and I will gladly reply to this post to verify that you are indeed one of our valued customers.
