Does anyone know which fuse(s) is used for the roof marker lights on the H2 (2005)? Or how the wiring for these is ran? I would assume above the headliner...but I'm looking for more specifics since I may have to access it to splice in a switch if the fuse is shared with other accessories.

I'd like to get those bad boys on a switch so they can be turned off/on...it's difficult to 'roll incognito' when you light up the neighborhood with red and orange Christmas lights. Don't get me wrong, they are badass...but sometimes I need to go 'low key.'

Thanks in advance.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the AllData diagram.

I finally got around to this project this weekend (almost 2 years later...ha) and was boosted when I discovered that the roof marker lights are all controlled by the INT PARK fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.

I used a $8.00 Bussmann fuse tap to construct a 'switched fuse' and put the switch in the dash near the headlight controls. Now those bad boys can be turned on/off whenever I want.

Thanks again.

just remember that the marker lights are required by law in some states due to the width of the beast. Weren't just put there for good looks

I put smoked ones up there that came with their own bulbs. The bulbs looked like poo. The orange ones looked yellowish, and the red ones looked pink. Eventually, I just took out the bulbs. BTW, this was also the dealer's suggestion.

Careful, I went el cheapo on the ebay ones and they melted with the bulb temps. I eventually paid for the smoked Recon set with a set of LED's. You get what you pay for nevers sounded so loud that day to me.

I checked out the Recon's you mentioned. They look good. One question though, when replacing the lights do they just unplug all together or do you have to splice in the new ones?

Also for the OP> For rolling incognito"aka rolling dirty" I know on mine I can just click the light switch to the left and it turns off all lights.

The lights with The Recon Smoked Running lights are bulbs and they plug and play. The smoked lenses are the covers for the bulbs.
BTW grab a good tube of caulk to seal them up when done.:excited:

Not really the Recon lights come with a thick gasket like material under the light assembly no need for sealant. The cheaper lights didn't have this addition. The Led's I ordered are also from recon basic blug and play. Just like changing a headlight bulb.

Just curious...are you still running with no cab marker lights? Have you gotten any negative attention from law enforcement?

It's been over a year now for me and no problems what so ever.
