P0449 Code Help

I had the check engine light come on on my 2003 H3. The code came up P0449. It says it has something to do with the EVAP (Evaporative Emission System). Has anyone ever has this code come up?

H3's were first on showrooms floors in 05' as 06' models.

Not sure about the code either.

It could mean a few things...
Gas cap is not on tight
Pinched vent line
Electrical problem in EVAP
Actual EVAP system problem

Check your rig then do a google search under the code and look for information to resolve. Good luck.

Evap vent solenoid control code. Supply voltage shorted to ground or open to the vent solenoid. Control circuit shorted to ground, voltage or open. If all those test good you need a evap vent solenoid.
