Hi All,
In this post I will detail the installation process of a Coastal Tech Ipod Lockpick in my 2008 SUT.
Ipod Lockpick:
Note: Turn off the ignition and take out the keys before proceeding.
1. First open and empty the glove box. When you look inside the box, on the top right is a plastic tab that you can push up to allow the box to swing all the way open - down toward the floor. You will see the factory XM unit on the right side of the cavity behind the glove box.

Here's the XM unit.

BTW - Here are the contents of the Ipod Lock Pick kit:

2. Remove the large black plug from the bottom of the XM unit (the instructions tell you to remove the XM unit from the cradle but there is no need to do that).

3. Plug the black connector from the factory harness into the female connector on the Lock Pick harness.

4. Plug the male black connector on the Lock Pick harness into the XM unit.

5. Check the settings of the switches on the Lock Pick unit - on my 08 SUT with XM & Nav this is the correct setting:

6. Plug the 16 pin connector from the Lock Pick harness into the Lock Pick.

7. I wrapped the Lock Pick unit in foam to prevent rattles.

8. Route the Ipod wire to your desired location - mine is on the left side of the Glove box and connect the wire to the Lock Pick unit.

9. Place the Lock Pick unit and the extra wiring behind the XM unit (near the cabin air filter) and close the glove box.

10. Plug in the Ipod and switch on the ignition. Press and hold the "Seek" button on the lower right corner of the radio to toggle between XM and Ipod.

Very nice!
I just got the lock pick for the 2006... that allows rear view cam and one other audio/video input.

Nice instructions!
PDX Realtor, what did you purchase for your 2006? I too am interested in the Rear Cam and IPOD LockPick but don't know where to start as I am brand new to the H2 and have the 2006 SUT with NAV.

I got this
http://www.coastaletech.com/LOCKPICK_CAMERAS.htm
and something like this
http://www.coastaletech.com/GMLOCKPICK.htm
You don't need the gen 5 unless you have an 08 or newer. The Gen 4 is burried deep on their website and I could not find it again. Call them, they still sell it for $189.00. It has a back up cam input, and one extra A/V input plus a USB port for charging. Also comes with a remote control... which I have yet to really study.
I'm having the viper remote start installed at Best Buy (install was free with purchase) and had some Best Buy gift cards laying around so I'm just going to pay to have my cam, lock pick, and rear license plate pocket installed with cam.

Strangest thing, I called coastal tech today and they told me there was no lockpick for the 2006 H2? I stated I'd like to have one that displays the rear cam on my Navi and for IPOD..."no sir, we don't have those for the 2006 models". I wonder if I have talked to the wrong guy?

Have you installed any Bluetooth options? Looking at the Parrot...not sure yet. Have the on-star...gave me a year then I bought 100 minutes for 15 bucks...so good for now but would like my iPhone to sync to a system. I just bought this truck and yet keep thinking of options to install!!!!

Rmutcler - I installed the Costar Bluestar GM LAN 29bit bluetooth unit that uses the stock Onstar speaker, mic and controls. Its a slick idea but doesn't work well at all with my iPhone. I contacted tech support and they suggested a software update for the phone but I am running the most recent update. They did say that it works well with other phones though.
Good Luck!
