OK, I let my 05 SUT go after the lease expired. Got a Ford PU and have been kicking myself ever since.

I have a 09 SUT located and was curious about the paint-it has the Silver Ice metallic. Any problems with that color?

And anything I need to know about the 09's before I pull the trigger?

Thanks, and it will be good to be back talking Hummers soon.

I really like the '09s and '08s, especially the engine and the dash, although I'm still partial to the seats on the pre '08s. Although I've never ridden in the back seat of my SUT my son and daughter-in-law miss the eyeball ducts the pre '08 models have. The 09s have that nice padded center arm rest over the console, they're quieter, and they have more performance. I like the silver ice metallic paint, but I'm not crazy about the highway tires they come with, although changing tires is normally one of the first things I do with a Hummer.
Nobody can foretell the future, but I think the H2s could become collectors items if they stop making them and right now things are not looking good for the future of Hummer, it seems to be one obstacle after another and the contract with Tengzhong STILL isn't signed!!! It's getting harder and harder to find new '09 H2s. GO FOR IT!

Well now I'm torn. The dealer (500 miles away) has 2 SUTs. Both in the color I want but one has the air suspension and one doesn't. The one without air has the hard tonneau cover, so they even out in price almost. I have to tell them something by the end of today so I can go get it Monday. Please give me some advice, I tried to read up on the air, but came up neutral. I do have a boat, but don't haul it that much. Should I go with the cover or go with the air and add cover later. Have the 09's had as much trouble with the air susp. as previous years or is it worked out?

Thanks for helping me in my purchase

I have the air suspension, but I'd be just as happy without it. If you offroad a lot it's helps your approach and departure angles by a few degrees.

Hi I am glad mine doesn't have air ride, because sooner or later it will be a problem.

My 09 Has Air Ride.. and has about 4 K miles. It has a nice smooth ride. I've been off road with it and it does help with articulation from left to right as well as adding 2 inchs to the rear for departure angle.

Not recomended to use for towing...just for raising you ass end up if you need the clearenace off raod. Some guys have replaced the bags with the stock springs rather then put money into repair if out of warranty.

Me... I Like it ...I bought and extra extended warranty..I don't have to worry for the next 7 years or 65 K miles.

I say go with the air ride ..if it blows down the road... replace with the springs. If you go with the spring equipped SUT... You'll still enjoy the ride..and performancen off road...Either way ..your get-en a great rig.

Thanks for all the help. Im in OKC now and getting ready to go to the dealer. I decided on the air-they are gonna try to add the cover before I leave as well as side steps. Cant believe the 09 doesnt come with steps and a brush guard like my 05 did. Have not drove either yet, so I still might change my mind.
Its suppose to snow 3-4 inches on the way back home!!!
Good test for the new rig. I'll keep you guys updated.

If you don;t tow- GO WITH THE COIL SPRING SETUP!!!!!

You will never have to worry about issues with the air susp. than.

I am pulling the air susp. on mine either this week or next. Change the shocks out to Rancho 9000XL's and you'll never miss those air bags.

I believe ALL of the H2s will be collector cars down the road. There the 1970 Chevelle 454SS of our generation.

Don't give up yet... Rumor has it that GM Just gave a 60 Day extension to there dealers as they are now entertaining offers from some one else.
