What's the procedure for dislocating the upper ball joint?
It's called for in these steps which so far are pretty accurate

Purpose is to, I think, remove the knuckle. I've never been so dumbfounded on such simple mechanical procedures.

I got the knuckle separated, big ass hammer for the upper and pickle fork for lower, which leaves me with a lower ball joint to remove :lame: :OWNED: :beerchug: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:
As of now I'm done for the night. I have the clamp press on the lower control arm and I can tell this is not going to be easy.
Let the Guinness settle, eat some pizza, and wake up to hopefully not spend half a day removing this lower joint.
I knew this lower ball joint was going to ruin any enjoyment of hub replacement.
**** at this point I should do the tie rods (boot is ripped) and stabilizer links and uppers.

Once you master using the ball joint press in the correct configuration it goes pretty damn smooth.
One of my uppers had a ripped boot so I pressed it out in minutes. If it wasn't for the other side being all done and put back together I'd just pop new joints in but to get the press in there everything has to come back apart.
I ended up ordering two new control arms from Rock Auto, MOOG, so I'll have that done now as well.
That leaves tie rods as the only thing not done on the front end.
