Thinking about the Xtreme flow muffler instead of Corsa. The need for backpressure makes sense.

How hard are these to install since they are only a muffler? Can they be done myself or does a shop need to cut and weld?

Also, are the xtreme flow headers dropin?? Can they be done myself?? or does a shop need to install??

Air intake looks like filter only??

Finally...Predator programmer or powerflash??

Mods worth it?

I had a muffler place do my exhaust install. Looks pretty simple so if you have the tools and like to wrench give it a shot. I installed an Airaid intake on mine and its pretty simple. So again if you can wrench, pretty easy.

Headers I think is the most difficult as far as installation goes from your list above. If you are into serious wrenching then go for it. Seems like there is enough room to work unlike my corvette.

I have not used the Predator yet eventhough I sell them. I plan on doing this in the next few weeks. At a minimum I expect better shifting and also the ablity to calibrate my speedo for the 37 inch tires I have.

Let me know if you have any questions...

Lil Devil,
Have you seen any improvement in adding the Airaid system? Also what do you think about putting the Throttle Body extender on?

03 H2, Lux, Pewter, more upgrades soon..

When I decided to install the Airaid I was hoping for better MPG. Haven't seen that yet after 500 miles. But I do 99% of my driving in city. Better throttle response for sure. No added noise on my rig but I have dual exhausts which are plenty loud. Power? Can't tell. Our rigs are so heavy that we would never feel 10-20 HP. Never. We would need to add much more HP on these heavy rigs before our butt dyno will feel it IMHO. I barely felt 30 HP increase on my vette but once I added 370 HP to the rear wheels I really felt it!!! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I think it is very possible to put a TB spacer using the Airaid kit since it does NOT replace the hose that goes from the MAF/filter to the TB. Other designs replace the OEM tube with a "smooth tube" which typically take up more room and with the addition of a 1 inch TB spacer would "push" the "smooth tube" towards the fan shroud area. I personally plan on adding one shortly knowing that it is all throw away anwyays once I get my Whipple installed.

Hope this helps....

Well I will get the Airaid system and the TB Spacer and see what that does, still thinking about the Flowmaster 50 series exhaust as well, but want to stick to stock pipe and not have anything showing.... Take care speak soon..
