after pulling the aftermarket headunit back out and testing all the connections, I saw one wire that slipped out of the connector for the shutter control. Pushed wire back into place when I had the neg. battery terminal off. Hooked the battery backup and then I now have full control of my cliamte control. Thank all of you for all your input. I would still be stumped if it wasn't for this forum. Thanks again
