I bought an 05 Adventure Series new from the dealer (see option list below). It's been 100% perfect. I don't think there any problems that are specific to the 05 model year.

I hope your luck is as good as mine has been.

I read your options...How do I find out if my second row seats recline?

The won't recline unless you buy special second row hardware that is made by a very nice fellow in Japan. His company makes reclining brackets for a number of U.S. cars -- -- Escalades, Tahoes, and H2s among them. I bought directly from him about a year ago, and that gave him the idea to sell in the U.S. I think his product is available on E-Bay for something like $500.

If you want to recline the left rear seat, you must relocate the jack [which is hidden behind the left rear seat] or leave the jack at home. For my use, the H2 is just me and my two boys. We only need to recline the right rear seat, so we got the lazy way out.

I think the reclining hardware is terrific and I would definitely get it again if I got another H2.
