Re: Who wears the pants in your family? POLL
My wife is Japanese and over there the father is the boss of anything having to do with his family. He paid for the wedding, furnished the house and gave me the Hummer as a gift. So now he pretty much owns me. Frustrating at times, but it was all part of the package.:crying:

DAYAMMMM!!!! It was opposite for us! They gave us a nice wedding present to kickstart our new life but after that we were on our own. I remember 12 years ago starting up my first biz and delivering pizzas at night with my wife in the passenger seat slapping me to keep me awake.:giggling: But it made my wife and I close, then things got comfy and secure. The in-laws respected me for that. When the kids were born..............Well...........Let's just say my kids will be well taken care of.:shhh: Grandkids are the in-laws biggest weakness.:dancingbanana: In Japan, traditionally if you're a dead beat mooch, you are cut out. |

Don't get me wrong, I have a great job and by no means a mooch. I just mean that if you accept a really nice gift from papa then he becomes the boss. (at least in her family) I personnally think he was just really happy about all the money he is saving by getting her out of the house:giggling: I know exactly what you mean about the Grandkids. As soon as we have kids I am sure I will be moving back to Japan. It's already being discussed. (with out my input):violin: |
Re: Who wears the pants in your family? POLL
Moving to Japan is not exactly a bad thing.:beerchug: I love it there. Especially when we don't have to worry about a single thing including food and a place to stay.:jump:
P.S. My wife is the boss because she's smarter than me. |

Dennis, you're :OWNED: by the inlaws, you just don't know it. Think about all those trips to Japan, and all the trips to Canada by the inlaws. I won't even bring up the wife and kids and Moab and the inlaws and the trip tickets for those weeks.:giggling: :giggling: |
Re: Who wears the pants in your family? POLL
There's a diffence between being owned by the in-laws and owing the in-laws.:jump:
