I spent $0 on my interior, and I like it a whole lot better.

I'd be happy to make a set of COH rock rails for this. I'd do it at a bargain basement Elcova discount too. $3800 + shipping.

Nope, but had these damn little pesky plastic clips that held them together. Those clips alone must have been 2-3 bucks.:clapping: |

you removed the spare from the rear but left the old tow hooks? should have replaced them with regular tow hooks. |
Re: What $150K Can do to an H2!!
OK, I will have to come to this guys defense a little bit, He does have talent in what he does and if I needed a H2 Limo he would be one of the people I would get a quote from.
So from that standpoint he has done good, and for a mall "look at me" cruiser, or as my kid calls it "Ghetto ride" it is ok. A few years to late, that scene is pretty much dead here unless youre building a show truck. |

IMO, you're just another hack that has over-inflated prices and ego. |

Also, the stupid dick in your shop that wrote in the dust on the clear plastic face of the dash with his finger probably ruined it. Nice going.:OWNED:

I wonder if chrome bumpers would hold up well under heavy urination. ??

Re: What $150K Can do to an H2!!
First off let me start by saying that I am a dreaded blinger/urban warrior who terrorizes the mall parking lots and occasionally goes off-road. You can search my posts to see pics of my ride, but even I have to say that there is just way too much shieze (sh!t) going on in the interior of that ride. I will agree with you that the outside, even though it does not suit everyone?s taste, has been pushed to the limit of being over blinged, but it still looks nice.
As far as 3.5 weeks to do all of the install work, that sounds about right. People often do not realize how long it takes to do even all of the small projects, like swap out the hex bolts:giggling: . General rule of thumb, how ever long you think it should take, double it! There is a lot of coordination involved in doing a multiple projects like that and one setback can push everything back for days. If a part comes in a week late, that can really screw up the timing of the install. So ease up guys on the install time. The price to me seems a little inflated, but then again, they aren?t doing all this work for free, time is money. I think that there was some good money made on this deal. That is not the installer?s fault, that is the owners fault for not negotiating better. Obviously the owner is not worried about cost and just gave these guys a blank check to build what the owner thinks is a baddass ride. Don?t dog the installer for the owner?s bad taste. I think the install jobs looks good, in pics anyway. Not my personal style, but it looks nice. You have to realize that the off-road guys on this site are very protective and territorial of this forum. When you come on here, especially as a noob, it is best to be humble, understated and honest. If you follow this advice, they will razz you but they will be respectful, for the most part;) . Do not make claims that a ghetto?d H2 is qualified as a rock climber because it ain?t. Them is fightin? words ?round here!:twak: |
Re: What $150K Can do to an H2!!
K9sH3: Thanks for you comment. I agree we are alittle behind the US in terms of vehicle stylin'! The 22yr old kid who spent the money to do this wanted to show off a bit.
DRTYFN: I didn't reply to your comment in a dameening fashion in any way, nor did I or do I plan on have a verbal confict with you. I'm not sure where you are in the US but I can say prices for CNC work and Auto CAD designers very from place to place, along with everything else. As an example you can buy a new base H2 with lux option in the US for $59000 and Canada it is $75 000. Even with the exchange rate as converted by xe.com ($64 202.91 USD) we are paying over $5K more for the same H2 and that does not include our 15% plus tax on the vehicle. So maybe you can get one made for $1000 or half of that depending on Polishing costs there (our polishing doesn't even come near $500 BTW, but if you can save that much in polishing alone go ahead) I would like to see you do it. If you have owned a Ferrari and so on, surely you can afford to accept the challenge. Then there would be no more name calling. If you can, I would say Congratulations on your achievement. If you can't well then I would be happy knowing I was right. trashguy: Actually these pix where taken before we had got the spare tire gate back from chroming. |

Re: What $150K Can do to an H2!!
Hey....My 2 cents!!:D
I really don't care much for the interior. Never been a fan of suede (I'm too OCD)!! And even if I was, THAT is WAY OVERKILL!! I REALLY don't like that $4500 grab bar. If I saw it on eBay, I wouldn't bid $1 CDN for it!! Not sure of the point of the Custom Door Panels?? Kinda sticks out IN YOUR FACE like, without any inherent value! As for the exterior, I't seems like the owner couldn't make up his mind. Kinda a bastard son of and off-road rig mixed with a street rig. MAKE UP YOUR MIND. If you are going to but 24's on it, it makes no sense to put off-road tires???? AIN'T GOING OFF ROAD!!! And if you're putting 24's....LOWER IT!!! Looks alot better for a street rig IMO!! If your gonna BLING, at least go Billet. It looks like the hood grill is that Putco ABS?? Same with the rear vents??? I think the owner went A LITTLE overboard on the extrerior from classy Bling to excessive Bling. I spent $60,000CDN less on mine, and If they were both GIVEN to me, I'd take mine in a heartbeat. Again, just MY OPINION!!!;) |
Re: What $150K Can do to an H2!!
wingnut2u: Thank you for your post. I hope I didn't come across stating that this H2 has any kind of superior off road capabilities. I meant that the tires we put on the 24s have better capabilities for off road then the street tires I've seen most guy put on 24in rims. I also think they match the look of the truck better. An onver sized aggressive tire for an aggressive vehicle. So I would like to appologize if I sounded like I meant they made the truck an extreme off road vehicle. The normal street tires that ppl put on the over sized rims would not handle anything the owner throws at it. He would never move in some of the mud holes on the construction sites and that goes double for our snow up here. He would simply spin.
Thanks again wingnut2u, I appreciate your comments! |
Re: What $150K Can do to an H2!!
HummBob: This guy drives his H2 all over the construction sites he runs so street tires just would not work for his application. He also leaves his rims on all winter. This is his full out work truck. I'll send you pix of how the truck looks after the winter from the places he drives it and how he beats on it. He has a Maserati he drives normally. He brought the H2 to us to make the interior look alittle better. He thought compared to his car & the price he paid for the truck the interior was alittle cheap looking. I replied he didn't spend the money for the interior he spent the money for the off road capabilities. I also agreed he went over board with the interior but there as some cool things he came up with like the seat massages. I had never intalled them before so it was kind of cool to try that.
CO Hummer: Rolling Chick....Hmmmm Should I even reply with something witty? Na, it's not worth it. :) |
